Static bid A static bid is a one-time bid of your choice. It must be equal to or higher than the next allowed bid, as shown on the lot page. If successful, you become the highest bidder.
Automatic bid An automatic bid allows you to set the maximum amount you are willing to bid. The system will place the next valid bid for you, taking the minimum bid increment into account. If you are outbid, the system will continue bidding on your behalf until your limit is reached or there are no more bids.
Track your bids You can track your bids in the ‘My Bids’ section under the ‘My Auctim’ menu. You will always receive an email when you are outbid or when the auction ends with you as the highest bidder.
Bid extension rule If a bid is placed when there are ten minutes or less remaining, the bidding time will be extended by five minutes. This continues until no new bids are placed in the final ten minutes. This rule prevents abuse by automated bidding software.

Lots offered under definite adjudication are automatically assigned to the highest bidder. There is no reserve pricing or judicial decision to be made.
Lots offered under temporary adjudication have a reserve price, or are subject to judicial supervision. After the auction ends, all lots will be individually awarded to the highest bidder, or withheld.
Reserve prices are often unknown to the Auctim partner, and depend on individual value as well as total auction revenue, which is why these lots can only be processed after the auction ends. If the reserve pricing IS known, the lot will automatically change to ‘definite adjudication’ as soon as the highest bid reaches this threshold.
Certain withheld lots can be offered again in the future, entirely depending on the seller. Auctim partners will always negotiate with the seller to assign as many lots as possible.
Lots that are part of a combination are offered individually first. When all lots in the combination are closed, the combination will open for bids for 60 minutes. The opening bid of this combination is the total of the individual lots increased by 10%.
